Sermon Series: Promise and Fulfillment

This week Pastor John begins a new series that will help better prepare us for the highpoint of Christian worship: Resurrection Sunday. Easter is a time to gather with God’s people, remembering the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ–the most important part of history and our faith (1 Cor 15:12-28). This series will highlight Jesus’ road to the cross and his resurrection by seeing how he fulfilled the promises of God. If you want to read in preparation, here is what we will be seeing: Jesus’ Baptism (Matt 3:1-17); Jesus’ Temptation (Matt 4:1-11); Jesus’ Authority (Matt 5:1-2; 7:28-29); Jesus’ Mission (Matt 16:21-28); Jesus’ Glory (Matt 17:1-8); and Jesus’ Meal (Matt 26:26-29).
