In our community groups, we are reading through Kevin DeYoung’s helpful book “The Hole in our Holiness“. Of particular help was Chapter 6, entitled “Spirit-Powered, Gospel-Driven, Faith-Fueled Effort”. While fully affirming that we are justified by grace through faith alone, DeYoung does well to remind us that we are called as God’s people away from a life of sin and unto a life of holiness. In the link above, DeYoung unpacks this chapter and encourages Christians to strive “for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.”
