Introduction

We often times think that we are helping, and end up doing more harm than good. An example of this is the handling of the pandemic by the government; shutting down certain places and businesses for public health, it then sought to offset the economic harm by extending unemployment and providing a stimulus. Doubtless something was needed. But we have many still out of work, with no desire to return so long as the government is providing for them. Has Paul done the same? Has Paul undermined our own good works by insisting that Christ has justified us as a gift? Never! Let us consider today how sinners might live righteously before God.
